getting there + around

What airports should I fly into?

Venice Marco Polo (VCE) is the preferred airport, just 40 minutes by water taxi to the city center. Treviso Airport (TSF) is a budget-friendly alternative but requires additional transit time.

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

We've arranged group water taxi transfers for all wedding guests. Once you provide your flight details in the RSVP form, we'll assign you to a transfer group. Private transfers can also be arranged through your hotel concierge.

What's the best way to get around Venice?

We've arranged group water taxi transfers for all wedding guests. Once you provide your flight details in the RSVP form, we'll assign you to a transfer group. Private transfers can also be arranged through your hotel concierge.

practical matters

Do I need a visa?

US citizens can stay in Italy for up to 90 days without a visa. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date.

What's the local currency?

Venice uses the Euro. While credit cards are widely accepted, it's helpful to carry some cash for small purchases and water taxis.

What if I want to extend my stay?

We'd love for you to explore more of Italy! Our wedding planners can assist with additional hotel nights and travel recommendations. The fall is a beautiful time to visit the Dolomites or Tuscan countryside.
